What is a stump grinder?
A stump grinder is a grinder with a petrol engine that has been specially developed to remove tree stumps. The cutter has a rotating wheel with chisels. Because the wheel rotates with chisels, you can mill away pieces of the stump. There are smaller machines that are suitable for stumps from smaller trees. These stump grinders are often narrower and can pass through narrower passages such as gates or through the house. These machines often have to be pushed by hand. There are also larger wheel drive stump grinders and a larger cultivator. These work a bit faster and are also suitable for really large stumps. Then there is the stump grinder that does not have to be operated by hand but with remote control. Different machines also have different depths to which they can mill the stump. If you have a stump milled, it is therefore important that you clearly indicate what your plan for the soil is.
